2019 – The Year for Outdoor Cinema

2019: The Year of Outdoor Cinema

With the past year being one of the biggest yet for outdoor cinema, we are getting ready for a busy 12 months ahead. We think 2019 is going to be the best year yet for Outdoor Cinema and with it brings  a whole host of new films to get excited about, and clients are already booking us in for private parties, corporate gatherings and pop-up cinema screenings across the UK. Whilst we provide the projection equipment and screens required for any event, we are also on hand to help with any support you may need in creating your own special outdoor cinema experience.

Top Films for 2019

Key to any screening is picking a film that is right for both your audience and setting. We’ve put together some suggested new releases, which are bound to make your event a night to remember.

1) Bohemian Rhapsody

Winner of 2 Golden Globe awards, Bohemian Rhapsody is an enthralling celebration of Queen’s music and their lead singer, Freddie Mercury. Following the band’s extraordinary rise to fame, the film also chronicles the band’s reunion, and one of the greatest performances in rock history.

2) A Star is Born

Featuring Bradley Cooper and the one and only Lady Gaga, this is the tale of two artistic souls coming together on stage and in life. It is an iconic love story of musician Jackson who discovers and falls in love with struggling artist Ally, who has given up on her dream of becoming a successful singer.

3) Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again

Sequel to the smash hit 2008 film, this romantic musical comedy is bound to get your audience singing, laughing and maybe even dancing! Returning to the magical Greek island of Kalokairi, the film’s original cast get together for an all-new original musical based on the songs of ABBA. Maybe one for a fancy dress event?

Looking Ahead

Looking ahead to later in 2019, there are some more fantastic films coming up. We’re particularly looking forward to three remakes of Disney classics: the Live Action computer animated Lion King, musical romantic fantasy Aladdin and the Tim Burton directed Dumbo. There is also the supernatural horror film and sequel, It: Chapter 2 and superhero thriller, Glass.
