It is coming upto that time of year again where the C word comes out more often; Christmas!
This year more than ever people are looking for a way to enjoy the festive period whilst remaining safe and within guidelines. Drive In Cinema is the perfect way to do this in our eyes.
Here are our tips on how to run a successful Christmas Drive In;
1.) Choose a Christmas themed film!
Now this might sound obvious, but you would be surprised! It is so important, especially when there are a load of really good festive films to choose from. You cannot go wrong with a classic showing of Elf! If you are struggling to decide, here is a list of some of the best:
2.) Theme your Food and Drink
There are so many caterers now that you are blessed with options. Gone are the days of a burger van being the only option. Find a caterer that is offering a Turkey burger or Mulled Wine instead of the generic options. This will all add to the atmosphere and experience.
3.) Bring along Santa
With sunset being early, inevitably you are going to put on a childrens film. All kids love Santa. It will not cost you a lot, but it is another reason for someone to book and again adds to the experience. Obviously this year, it might be slightly harder with Social distancing measures in place, but I am sure somewhere someone has come up with a solution!
4.) Run two films to make the most of having the screens on site
As mentioned in the point above, sunset is early. This means there is ample time to run two films. For example, you could show Home Alone at 5PM, then Love Actually at 8.30PM. This way you make double the money and make the most of the screens being on site.
We know this year has been somewhat bizarre and does not seem to be changing anytime soon but that does not mean we cannot all still enjoy ourselves, albeit in a different way.
Drive In Cinema is the perfect way for all the family to get out and look forward to something different and take your mind off everything else going on for just a few hours.
